Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been carrying out specialist water treatment services including Legionella risk assessments at the Pwllheli RNLI Lifeboat station, North Wales.
The Pwllheli station is located on the Lleyn Peninsula and operates an all-weather carriage-launched Shannon class lifeboat and an inshore D class lifeboat. The crews here have impressively earned five awards for gallantry for sea rescues.
PTSG Water Treatment Ltd manages the water hygiene contract for 67 RNLI sites throughout Wales, carrying out Legionella risk assessments, planned preventative maintenance work and remedials.
The risk assessment provided by PTSG Water Treatment Ltd follows the guidance set out in BSEN 8580:2010 which gives recommendations on the assessment of the risk of legionellosis presented by artificial water systems. The assessment will conclude on the condition of plant and advise the client of any remediation necessary in order to reduce the risk from Legionella bacteria.
