Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a test and inspection at the University of Northampton to ensure it complies with electrical regulations and is completely safe for all users.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd delivered a test and inspection of the lightning protection on place at the university, which already has an enrolment well over 10,000 students having only gained full university status in 2005.
The University of Northampton was formed in 1999 by the amalgamation of a number of training colleges. There are three sites: Avenue Campus, just north of the town centre; the new Waterside Campus, which opened in September 2018 and is now the main campus for the university; and an innovation centre opposite Northampton railway station.
Testing and inspection is one of the most important specialist services that PTSG carries out – not only in electrical services but in the Group’s other divisions: PTSG Access & Safety Ltd, PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd and PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd. This statutory measure highlights any repairs that may be needed to systems and equipment to ensure they continue to operate safely and protect buildings and users.
