PTSG is a trusted compliance specialist, delivering testing, inspection and maintenance services across five divisions. However, another huge element of its service – and one of the reason why the Group has become the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary specialist – is its capacity to install a wide range of specialist equipment to improve the safety and operational efficiency of buildings in all industry sectors.
Access & Safety Installations
Our team of specialists routinely deliver a comprehensive range of fall arrest and fall protection systems and equipment to enable operatives to work 100% safely at height.
Fall arrest systems are used to stop the fall of a maintenance worker before contact with a surface, thus preventing any serious injury – or any injury at all. They include devices such as full body harnesses, horizontal lifelines and anchor points (fixed or mobile).
Fall restraint systems stop workers from reaching the edge of a work area, so that no fall can occur. Systems include edge protection, guard rails and demarcation.
In addition, we provide specialist solutions for façade access by way of rope access (abseil):
Fall protection solutions including MSA Latchways vertical and horizontal cable systems (lifelines), rail systems, traditional anchors and davit arms, mass friction anchors, abseil lifelines, free-standing or fixed handrail systems, MSA WalkSafe walkways and fall-proof covers.
For buildings in all applicable sectors, we deliver solutions including MSA Latchways vertical and horizontal cable systems (lifelines), rail systems, and single point anchors.
We provide fall arrest solutions for ladders, towers, pylons, and masts, including MSA Latchways vertical cable systems (LadderLatch and TowerLatch), and track systems.
Our collective protection range includes fixed and free-standing guard rail systems and highly versatile walkways.
To facilitate safe cleaning and maintenance, we provide transportable mass friction anchors, bespoke abseil anchors (including davit systems), and single point anchors (including single or paired eyebolts).
Our fabricated product range includes fixed access ladders, gantry access solutions and step units.
Electrical Services Installations
As the UK’s and possibly Europe’s oldest trading provider of lightning protection services, PTSG is a seasoned expert in the design, installation and commissioning of bespoke and off-the-shelf lightning and surge protection systems. We are also members of the Association of Technical Lightning & Access Specialists (ATLAS).
We can also offer layout drawings to meet architect, consultant and contract engineer specifications. All new installations are undertaken by our experienced and thoroughly trained engineers based across the UK. We also provide additional services when ‘rope access’ equipment is required.
Fire Solutions Installations
The automatic fire sprinkler system is the most widely used fire protection system today. Systems are designed to protect property and life, as specified by the various automatic fire sprinkler standards. While sprinklers are simple in design, the insurer or fire officer must adhere to British standards to achieve compliance.
PTSG designs, supplies, installs and commissions fire sprinkler systems for commercial in accordance with BSEN 12845 and residential buildings in accordance with BS9251/BSEN 16925 in the United Kingdom. Our systems ensure complete fire safety and our flexible installation teams can provide the perfect system for any building type or layout.
PTSG is renowned for the installation of quality and safety compliant dry risers and wet risers systems. Our site engineers fabricate systems on site and make sure installation follows design drawings. Any alterations are dealt with as soon as they arise.
By law, dry risers must have fire engine access within 18m of the dry riser inlet box and have to be housed in a fire-resistant shaft. In commercial properties, this is usually under the staircase of a fire exit on ground level. This enables fire fighters to connect quickly and easily.
After the installation is complete, the dry riser is hydraulically pressure-tested to the British Standard BS9990 2015. A test certificate is then issued.
Our wet riser systems are also designed, installed, commissioned and certificated to BS EN 9990:2015. For the most part, the water for these systems would delivered via a pumped water supply independent to each building or plot.
There would also be a fire brigade inlet at the ground floor to the connection of their pumps, to ensure the supply of water is not exhausted.
