Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is continuing its drive to offer its 2,300+ people the very best support for all aspects of mental health.
In 2018/19, stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 44% of all work-related ill health cases and 54% of all working days lost due to ill health. That equates to 17.5 million working days. In the past week alone more than one in six adults experienced a common mental health problem.
PTSG has long been an advocate of providing mental health in the workplace. The Group’s HSE Director, Terr Wilcock and NVQ Assessor, Paul Campbell began delivering Mental Health First Aid Training back in the early part of 2020.
While training was paused for a while when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its worst, it has now resumed and a two-day mental health first aid course was recently delivered to members of its Water Treatment division in Glasgow, as well as representatives of West Lothian Parliament and Midlothian MPs.
All participants praised the content of the training and its delivery.
