Premier Technical Services Group Ltd has commenced work to provide specialist electrical services at a new Energy Recovery Centre in the West Midlands.
The Kelvin Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in West Bromwich, in the West Midlands, is a large-scale site comprising fifteen structures including the waste bunker, boiler hall, turbine hall, tipping hall and associated buildings.
The facility will divert 395,000 tonnes of residual waste – the waste left over after reusable and recyclable material has been removed. The heat and power facility which will use residual waste to generate 44MW (gross) of partially renewable, baseload electricity to power the needs of more than 95,000 U.K. homes.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd have already delivered site-wide protective earthing on this project, which commenced October/November 2022. Works will run into 2023/2024.
