Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a specialist electrical services project at St Bernard’s Hospital, Southall – near Uxbridge.

The facility originally opened in 1831 as the First Middlesex County Asylum; it was also known as the Hanwell Pauper and Lunatic Asylum. It became known as St Bernard’s Hospital, Southall in 1937. The hospital has been used as a location for numerous films and television series including Batman (the 1989 film with Jack Nicholson), Porridge with Ronnie Barker and The Professionals – both filmed in the 1970s.

Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd have completed a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the hospital. This is required by the Electricity at Work Act 1989 and PTSG’s work ensures compliance with this and with British Standard EN 62305.

If repairs or maintenance are required as a result of the test and inspection, PTSG’s engineers are able to carry these out after presenting the client with an estimate.
