Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) will be providing specialist lightning protection services for BMW Mini at the company’s new car manufacturing building in Swindon.
The new facility will boast over 12,000 square metres of floor space, including an excess material building and container office. It is described as “a standard type of building, as constructed on other BMW sites to ensure it meets modern requirements.”
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will design and install a lightning protection system and deliver specialist earthing services at the new facility.
Earthing is the creation of an alternative path for the flow of fault or excessive currents safely to ground. It is an integral part of any electrical system and essential in keeping both people and equipment safe.
PTSG provides every kind of earthing system requirement, from design and installation to test, repair and earthing system upgrade. Its engineers routinely work across a number of sectors including construction, utilities rail (light and heavy), defence (MOD), energy (including green technologies) and IT/data sectors.
