Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to provide specialist fall arrest services at one of the UK’s most anticipated new retail precincts: Edinburgh St James.
The precinct will comprise 850,000 square feet of retail space, 30 food and beverage businesses, a cinema, a luxury hotel and 152 residential apartments. It is planned to be fully operational by the end of 2021 but most of the retail elements will be open to the public by summer 2020.
Covering 1.7 million square feet in total, Edinburgh St James is expected to turn the city’s East End into a retail and tourist hotspot with knock-on effects on Princes and George streets, the Royal Mile and other parts of the World Heritage-listed city centre.
PTSG Access & Safety Ltd has been appointed to design, supply & install over 400m of KalSafe KalZip SureGrip Walkways, ManSafe and bespoke Step Over Platforms. The Group’s engineers are due to start in March/April 2020.
