Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist fire solutions at a new residential scheme in Liverpool called the Fabric Village.
Plans to build several apartment blocks in Islington’s Fabric District were first revealed in 2017. Two phases of construction are planned, in which around 400 apartments will be built over three blocks, two of which will form a C shape around a central courtyard. The other block will be built in the second phase and will take an L shape. As well as the residential units, the project will contain two retail spaces.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd install residential sprinklers to blocks A and C. Fire sprinklers are widely recognised as the single most effective method of fighting the spread of fires in their early stages. Around 90% of building fires are controlled by fewer than four sprinkler heads.
