Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) will deliver specialist electrical services at a new mixed-use centre in West Sussex.
Forge Wood is in the north-east of Crawley. When complete, the development will have up to 1,900 homes. The properties, being built by Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey, are centred around community spaces, including a primary school, the new community centre, office and industrial space, retail space and parkland.
Phase 1B will see the construction of the local centre for Forge Wood, comprising two buildings to accommodate a mix of retail, residential and community uses. The largest building within the local centre is an L-shaped structure designed to accommodate commercial retail floorspace on the ground floor and 43 dwellings above.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a new lighting protection system at Forge Wood. This will provide protection for the buildings and their users in the event of an electrical storm.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection services. It is also thought to be one of the oldest. JW Gray, which became part of PTSG in 2015, began trading in 1835, making it one of the oldest – if not the oldest – trading provider of lightning protection services in the UK and possible even Europe.
