Access & Safety engineers from Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) have been contracted to provide specialist services at HMP Prison Barlinnie in Glasgow.
HM Prison Barlinnie is the largest prison in Scotland, holding well over 1,000 prisoners. It is operated by the Scottish Prison Service and is located in the residential suburb of Riddrie, in the north east of Glasgow, Scotland. It is informally known locally as The Big Hoose and Bar-L.
PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will install a new fall arrest system, consisting of walkway and handrail, to the roof area of the building. Such systems are essential to ensure building maintenance operatives remain safe when they carry out their work at height. PTSG’s engineers deliver the full range of fall arrest equipment; they work with other key elements in the supply chain to design access strategies for new build projects, refurbishments, retrofits and heritage buildings.
