Here at PTSG, safety isn’t just about preventing physical accidents – it is also about ensuring our people feel supported, valued and heard. That is why we have expanded our Mental Health First Aid programme, training seven new trainers through a dedicated two-day programme led by our in-house HSE professionals, Terry Wilcock and Paul Campbell.

With these additions, we now have 49 trained Mental Health First Aiders across PTSG, ready to support colleagues when they need it most.

“When we implement mental health training, we normalise meaningful conversations around depression, anxiety and stress,” said Terry Wilcock, PTSG’s Group Health & Safety Director. “Often, mental health is invisible, but organisations like us have the power to transform and take steps to prevent poor mental health before it escalates.”

Having in-house mental health expertise ensures that our people have access to immediate, confidential support whenever they need it. We believe that mental wellbeing is fundamental to a safe and thriving workplace and we remain committed to leading by example in the industries we serve.
