NSS Group (NSS), part of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), has been working on an ongoing contract to deliver specialist cleaning services for Imperial College London (ICL).
Imperial College London is a public research university. Its history began with Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, who envisioned a cultural area in South Kensington that included museums, colleges, and the Royal Albert Hall.
The ICL contract is complex, not only because campuses and residences are spread throughout London, but also because of the variety of uses of the premises, such as; offices, libraries, teaching areas, research laboratories, student residences, catering outlets, sports centres, engineering workshops, retail outlets, a children’s nursery and medical centres.
The commercial window cleaning contract, which is between NSS and ICL directly, has been in place since 2008. Due to the wide variation of building uses and types (ranging from new builds to listed properties), it has proven essential for operatives from NSS to forge strong working relationships with building managers and residential staff. NSS is part of PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd, one of the Group’s five independent business divisions.
