Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) is proud to be a finalist in two categories of the PFM Partnership Awards 2019.
The Group is shortlisted in the award for Partners in Expert Services – for the close working relationship between PTSG Access Safety Ltd. (fall arrest) and Standard Life.
PTSG has carried out a range of fall arrest testing services for Standard Life on and within dozens of buildings throughout the UK since 2008. The teams have closely worked together, adopting many of the guiding principles of BS11000 (now ISO44001) and identified the key factors that help them to develop and manage a truly collaborative business relationship within their respective, and between both, organisations.
PTSG’s recent work with Blackpool Council in undertaking vital repairs to Blackpool Tower gained the attention of the judges, resulting in a place on the shortlist for the Partners in Renovation award. PTSG’s Edinburgh-based height specialists won the contract through an open tender process at the end of 2018, with the work commencing in January 2019.
During the three-month package of repairs, PTSG’s team towards the end of phase one was on site 24-hours a day for a full week to ensure crucial deadlines were being met with and that the works were carried out un-interrupted due to the significance of the work to the overall structural integrity of the tower. The Council, Merlin (which operates the tower on behalf of the council) and ARUP have shown great confidence in PTSG’s management and engineers alike, putting their full trust in them for future maintenance works.
This year’s awards will be presented at The Brewery in London on the evening of 6 November 2019.
