Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist services at Thorpe Park Resort, one of the country’s leading amusement parks.
Located in the village of Thorpe, between the towns of Chertsey and Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey, England. It is operated and owned by Merlin Entertainments and includes rides, a themed hotel, live events and Stealth, the UK’s fastest rollercoaster.
On the 25 February 2020, Thorpe Park announced the addition of a live action Black Mirror attraction, named Black Mirror Labyrinth, which was scheduled to open in 2020, but was postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Tall structures of all kinds require lightning protection to safeguard them and their users in the event of an electrical storm, and amusement rides are no exception. Stealth at Thorpe Park is an intimin hydraulic launch rollercoaster that stands 205ft tall.
PTSG delivers lightning protection solutions for all kinds of clients, installing new systems as well as testing and inspecting and upgrading existing systems.
