Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a specialist high-level cleaning project in Brighton, occupying a building façade in Circus Street.
‘A Spring In Your Step’ is a complex and ambitious sculpture by British artist Alex Chinneck. Made from galvanised steel and reaching 25 metres overhead, it follows the shape of an ordinary spiral staircase at its base and then suddenly uncoils as it rises upwards and outwards over circus street’s central courtyard. Its three steel ribbons burst apart with energy, introducing movement into the volume above the square while animating the space below.
PTSG’s Building Access Specialists performed a full clean of the sculpture as part of the yearly operations and maintenance requirements. They used a truck-mounted access machine to complete the works, creating a ‘before’ and ‘after’ document for the client.
