Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has contracted to deliver specialist electrical services, specifically, lightning protection system for a highly anticipated new ride at Thorpe Park.
Project Exodus will stand at 236 feet, becoming the UK’s tallest rollercoaster since the opening of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Big One in 1993. Officially named Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster is due to open in September 2024.
Thorpe Park, formerly also known as Thorpe Park Resort, is a theme park located in the village of Thorpe between the towns of Chertsey and Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey, 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Central London. Merlin Entertainments operates it, offering rides, themed cabins, and live events.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a new lightning protection system at one of the many residential developments. This will provide protection for the structure and all users in the event of an electrical storm.
