Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been commissioned to install a lightning protection system at Folkestone Harbour seafront.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install the system at the site to ensure all assets are safe in the event of a lightning strike.
Folkestone Harbour dates back to 1807 when an Act of Parliament was passed to build a pier and harbour. After World War II Folkestone Harbour became known for its ferry services to France and Belgium. In 2010 a plan was commissioned for the development of the harbour and seafront from architect Sir Terry Farrell and Partners, and outline planning permission was granted in summer 2013. Clearance of redundant and dilapidated buildings took place in 2014/15. Other attractions include Swing Bridge and Viaduct, the lighthouse and boardwalk.
PTSG is the industry leader in the design, installation and maintenance of lightning protection systems, not just in the south of England but throughout the UK. With 29 UK offices and over 1,300 specialist staff, the Group is trusted by leading brands and first tier contractors to make sites and buildings safe and keep them in first class condition through regular servicing.
