Trinity Fire & Security, a constituent company of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), has been contracted to deliver specialist fire services for a leading public research university in Lancashire.
Founded in the 1960s as one of several; new universities, it has a purpose-built campus on 300 acres. The campus buildings are arranged around a central walkway known as the Spine, which is connected to a central plaza, named Alexandra Square in honour of its first chancellor, Princess Alexandra.
The charter stipulated that Princess Alexandra of Kent be the first chancellor of the university. She was inaugurated in 1964. The ceremony also saw the granting of various honorary degrees to dignitaries including the Prime Minister, Harold Wilson.
Following a recent order for Trinity to deliver fire safety maintenance at the university, its team of specialists received positive feedback for its work. Within three hours of the contract going live, Trinity’s engineers received their first reactive call-out. They attended in a timely fashion and rectified the fault which, due to the short mobilisation period, was quite an achievement!
One of PTSG’s great strengths is its ability to attend sites at a moment’s notice. PTSG has c3,000 industry specialists at over 50 sites throughout the UK. Fire Solutions is one of the Group’s five independent business divisions – the other four being Access & Safety, Electrical Services, Building Access Specialists and Water Treatment.
