Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a specialist electrical services project at Longnor Hall, a Grade I listed manor house in Shropshire built during the reign of Charles II.
Longnor Hall was built by Sir Richard Corbett in 1670. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings, and is of seven bays and two storeys. There are also interior details of the 17th century.
In paintings from 1670, the front of the house featured a gated forecourt with a circular pond containing a statue or fountain. There were also four canals running back from the pond, edged with evergreens. Behind the house were raised walks and summerhouses, and there was a cascade or ‘water staircase’ to one side.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd delivered a full test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the historic hall. This highlighted remedial works that were required to ensure the system remains fully operational.
The work garnered strong praise for the efficient and personable way in which PTSG’s engineers carried out their work.
