The Wakefield Express has reported that thirty-two of Yorkshire Business Insider’s top 500 companies are located in and around Wakefield – including Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG).
The Wakefield area includes Castleford, Normanton, Ossett, Pontefract and the town of Wakefield. As the leader of Wakefield Council, Peter Box, said: “The Top 500 report demonstrates that businesses in the district are continuing to grow despite declines elsewhere in the UK due to the uncertainties of Brexit.”
PTSG is one of the companies that embraces this spirit of entrepreneurialism and opportunity. The company recently reached a business agreement in principle with financial services company Macquarie Group, unlocking further potential for PTSG.
This agreement is the latest landmark in a 12-year history that has seen the Group grow from a small collection of industry specialists to become an international multi-disciplinary provider of specialist services to the FM and construction sectors. PTSG now employs 1,200 people and operates from 29 UK bases, enabling its engineers to be mobilised to virtually any job at a moment’s notice.
