Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has completed a fixed-wire testing project at the National Railway Museum in York.
The work was undertaken in a 6-week programme which consisted of the fixed-wire safety testing of the Museum’s entire electrical installation system, together with providing schematic diagrams relating to the design of the equipment.
The National Railway Museum in York displays a collection of over 100 locomotives and nearly 300 other items of rolling stock, almost all of which either ran on British Railways or were built in Great Britain. It is the largest museum of its type in the UK and was established in 1975 on its present site, the former York North locomotive depot.
PTSG is a market leader in fixed-wire testing services, with fully qualified electricians performing safety testing to the latest industry regulations at sites across the UK. The Group’s electrical services division also carries out portable appliance testing, lightning protection installation, testing and maintenance and steeplejack services, performing all works to the highest health and safety standards.
