Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract to deliver specialist Access & Safety services for a British Gas national distribution centre.
British Gas, a subsidiary of Centrica and is the biggest energy supplier in the country. The subsidiary is considered one of the Big Six that dominate the gas and electricity market in the United Kingdom.
British Gas is a supplier of both gas and electricity for homes across the country. Other companies own and maintain the infrastructure that delivers the gas to consumers. Distribution network operators (DNOs), which vary from region to region, maintain the network of towers and cables that distribute their electricity.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will install new Mansafe systems that will facilitate safe access to the roof of the national distribution centre in Leicester for British Gas. Mansafe systems, also known as safety line systems, provide maintenance operatives with a personal measure of fall protection.
