Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a specialist access project at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
The Great Western Hospital is a large hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire. It opened in 2002 and is run by the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This large and modern hospital has around 480 beds, numerous outpatient clinics, CT and MRI scanners, maternity services, an Intensive Care Unit, an Urgent Care Centre and a 24/7 Emergency Department. It sees around 1.2 million patient contacts a year.
Engineers from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd recoated the chimney at the hospital, and carried out an inspection whilst on site. This was done by installing steeplejack modular frames below the summit and rope access equipment to carry out the painting works.
PTSG has worked on many hospitals throughout the UK to deliver a wide range of specialist services. This ranges from lightning protection services at Islay Hospital on Scotland’s Western Isles, to specialist electrical tests at Brighton Hospital.
