Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at 76-78 Portland Place, London – a 1950s office building which is undergoing a refurbishment.
External upgrades to this nine-storey commercial office include the replacement of roofing finishes, adding a large terrace, refurbishing the front elevation windows and fully replacing the rear elevation and mews aluminium windows. There will also be new roof-mounted plant, photovoltaic panels and refurbished lifts.
Interior refurbishments includes new entrance, a large multi-use town hall/auditorium, co-working areas, private offices and enterprise suites. At ground floor level a new entrance will be provided along with meeting rooms and a large multi-use townhall/auditorium with extensive AV installations. The re-purposed basement will house dry labs, podcasting and multimedia spaces, wellness and gym facilities, and other welfare amenities.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will deliver a new lightning protection system to safeguard the redeveloped building and its users of the new development in the event of an electrical storm.
