Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is delighted to announce that one of its young engineers has received the SLPTG Apprentice of the Year Award.
The SLPTG Apprentice Awards 2022 and Atlas 75th Anniversary Celebration Dinner took place at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham on 19 May 2022. Callum Griffiths, Lightning Protection Engineer for PTSG Electrical Services Ltd, received the coveted award for Apprentice of the Year.
SLPTG works closely with Government, industry bodies and members to formulate and develop operative training and development for the lightning protection and steeplejacking industries. This has included developing the steeplejack and lightning protection national apprenticeship schemes, and the NVQ L3 Lightning Protective Systems Inspecting and Testing.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning and surge protection services. Its engineers work all over the UK designing, installing and providing test and inspection and maintenance services for clients in all sectors. The Essex office of PTSG Electrical Services Ltd (trading as JW Gray) is thought to be the oldest trading provider of lightning protection services in the UK, possibly even Europe. It was established in 1835.
Callum Griffiths recently qualified (NVQ L2) via the apprenticeship route at college. This is the first SLPTG Apprentice Award that PTSG has won in the Test & Inspection Division – and on the 75th anniversary of ATLAS. Congratulations, Callum!
