Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured another one-year contract with DIY retailing giant B&Q to deliver specialist Access & Safety services.
B&Q was founded in March 1969 in Southampton, by Richard Block and David Quayle, following the purchase and fitting out of a former furniture warehouse in the Southampton suburb of Portswood. Originally called Block & Quayle, the duo soon shortened the brand to B&Q as stock delivery notes and invoices were already unofficially abbreviating the name.
Today, B&Q offers around 40,000 products in 307 stores in the United Kingdom (as of 11 January 2023) operated by 27,000 staff, and on diy.com.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will provide testing and maintenance of fall protection equipment at around 280 sites around the UK for B&Q.
PTSG Access & Safety Ltd. is the original business division of the Group and is the UK’s leading installer of fall protection products, delivering solutions for customers in all kinds of industry sectors. Its experienced and highly qualified engineers deliver the full range of fall arrest equipment and associated testing, inspection and maintenance services.
