Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist fire solutions at the former site of the iconic Kodak Factory.

Eastman Village is a new £1.75bn community in the heart of Harrow, which was home to the former Kodak Factory. The impressive scheme will create new homes, restaurants, cafés, shops, offices and a school, all set around landscaped parkland forming a new leisure, business and residential destination.

At the height of the Kodak Factory’s success in the 1950s, more than 6,000 people were employed there, but over the years the numbers dropped significantly and in 2013 the company encountered financial problems.

In April 2016 it was announced manufacturing at the facility would stop by the end of that year. The site in Harrow was the last of the company’s sites to shut worldwide, with around a quarter of their employees living in Harrow. Others were mainly from the Hemel Hempstead and Watford areas.

Engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd are installing a commercial sprinkler system at the new development. This will provide the best protection available for residents and buildings in the event of a fire.

PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd is one of five independent business divisions of PTSG. The others are: PTSG Access & Safety Ltd, PTSG Electrical Services Ltd, PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd and PTSG Water Treatment Services Ltd.
