Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), via constituent company HCS Water Treatment (HCS), has delivered legionella risk assessment and L8-PPM maintenance across Scottish Fire and Rescue’s portfolio of 400+ properties.

The emergency service environment presented unique operational demands. Fire stations required continuous operational readiness with varied and fluid occupation rates. Key challenges included:

·         Maintaining water safety during rapid deployment scenarios

·         Adapting to 24/7 operational requirements

·         Managing multiple sites across diverse locations

·         Minimising disruption to emergency response capability

HCS implemented a water management programme specifically designed for emergency service environments. Working with Robertson FM, the team developed robust water management protocols that maintained compliance without compromising operational readiness. The implementation included ZetaSafe monitoring across all sites, enabling real-time tracking of water safety parameters.

HCS deployed operational teams with specific experience in emergency service environments. This expertise enabled effective service delivery while maintaining station readiness. Regular stakeholder engagement with Robertson FM and station management ensured operational priorities were protected throughout the programme delivery.
