The construction of the new home of London College of Fashion, part of the University of the Arts London, was completed at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Located at East Bank, the London Legacy Development Corporation developed it as the UK’s newest cultural quarter. The building made the most of modern methods of construction and eye-catching design to create an iconic structure.
Michael J Lonsdale provided project and construction management services on this impressive new facility. This includes overseeing the creation of the state-of-the-art campus which supports 6,500 students. The campus also houses a world-leading research community, business incubation and social enterprise centre, public open spaces, galleries and libraries.
MP Fire Protection partnered with Michael J Lonsdale and Mace to provide sprinklers, dry and wet risers for the campus. This forms part of fire solutions strategy to keep building and users safe in the event of a fire.
