Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a project delivering specialist electrical services at a church in Essex dating back to 1180.

The precise date of the building of All Saints’ Church is not recorded, but that it existed in 1180, the date of the foundation of Beeleigh Abbey, is practically certain, for a Charter of Richard 1st in December 1189 exists reciting and confirming “certain grants to Beeleigh Abbey, including the Church of Blessed Peter in Maldon and the Church of All Saints’ in the same town.”

All Saints’ Church is built of flint and stone and is one of the most interesting churches in the county having an equilaterally triangular tower which is quite unique. The tower is surmounted by a hexagonal spire and pinnacles at the angles and is late Norman or Transition.

In this contract, PTSG’s electrical services engineers delivered a test and inspection of the Lightning Protection and earthing system, which showed the system to be fully operational. Such tests are required on an annual basis, ensuring systems remain compliant with BS EN 62305.

PTSG Electrical Services Ltd is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection and electrical compliance services. As well as testing and inspecting systems, PTSG’s highly trained engineers install bespoke and off-the-shelf systems and provide repairs, maintenance and upgrades where required.
