Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), via constituent company Total Environmental Compliance (TEC), recently delivered specialist water treatment works at a modern secondary school.
Although the school was constructed in 2019, it has experienced ongoing water pressure and temperature issues. There was a temperature variance of more than 2°C between source and outlet and the incoming pressure was 1.5 bar, which is inadequate for a site of that size.
To overcome the temperature and water pressure issues, PTSG carried out a thorough site survey to propose a range of suitable solutions that would work within the confines of the site restrictions. The Group’s engineers installed a CWST tank (11,717L) and a 2-foot twin variable speed vertical booster pump set, customising the installation to fit within the limited floor space area.
This project involved PTSG Water Treatment Ltd working closely with multiple specialists to coordinate a seamless installation involving tank manufacturers, PTSG Electrical Services Ltd and Efaflu (booster set commissioners).
The pressure and temperature issues have been resolved; the system now operates at 3.5 bar across the estate and the temperature is within the 2°C variance. The project was completed within budget and timeframe.
