Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has secured a contract to provide a lightning protection installation at a new accommodation and research building at Keble College at the University of Oxford.

The H B Allen Centre is a new building that will replace the demolished former Acland private hospital. The new building houses 230 graduate rooms and new research facilities around a new college quad. The building will also include a new café, gym and 120-seat lecture theatre, which will be completed in 2018.

PTSG will deploy specialist engineers to install a fully compliant lightning protection system to the new building, protecting future building users in the event of a lightning strike.

PTSG is a market leader of lightning protection services and has built up vast experience in the education sector, working on a variety of assets for education providers throughout the UK. The group’s Electrical Services division recently secured contracts with Leeds Beckitt University and Chelsea College of Arts.
