Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been awarded a major contract to install residential sprinkler systems in the Southmere Village Phase 1B development, which forms part of the comprehensive regeneration in South Thamesmead.
Phase 1A of the scheme saw the design and construction of 130 new homes, an energy centre with associated district heat network, commercial space and parking and a range of formal and informal public spaces. In its entirety, Southmere Village will deliver more than 1,600 new homes on four sites on the doorstep of the new Elizabeth line station at Abbey Wood.
PTSG is hugely important in supply chain for new residential developments such as Southmead Village. Engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions work throughout the UK installing and servicing/maintaining sprinkler systems. Sprinklers are vital in keeping residents safe in the event of a fire; to date, no one has ever died in a fire within a home with a sprinkler system installed.
