Premier Technical Services Group Ltd has completed a specialist electrical services project for Edge Hill University in Lancashire.
Edge Hill University is a campus-based public university in Ormskirk, which opened in 1885 as Edge Hill College, the first non-denominational teacher training college for women in England, before admitting its first male students in 1959. The University has three faculties: Arts and Sciences, Education, and Health and Social Care; these teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The campus is 160 acres in area. The original Halls of Residence were ‘named Stanley, Clough, Lady Margaret and John Dalton “in honour” of the Derby Family’ and “of three individuals famous in the history of Lancashire and of Education” (Anne Jemima Clough was a pioneer of higher education for women, having founded Newnham College, Cambridge)’
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd delivered repairs to the lightning protection system in place at the university, ensuring it remains compliant and fully operational to protect buildings and all users.
PTSG has an extensive and ever-growing education portfolio, delivering not only electrical services but a full range of specialist services at schools, nurseries and higher education facilities, including halls of residence. PTSG operates five business divisions, the other four being PTSG Access & Safety Ltd, PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd, PTSG Fire Solutions and PTSG Water Treatment Ltd.
