Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a project in Scotland, providing specialist electrical services at Baldovie Energy from Waste (EfW) plant.

The new facility is designed to make more use of the energy in the residual waste from Dundee and Angus. The new facility will use around 110,000 tonnes of residual waste per year to generate electricity. It will also aim to fulfil the requirements of the Scottish Government’s hierarchical Zero Waste priorities on:

  • Reduce
  • Reuse
  • Recycling
  • Recovery (of energy for example)
  • Disposal

PTSG Electrical Services Ltd appointed a foreman throughout this contract over a period two years, ensuring the lightning protection system was designed and installed to the highest standard. The project was challenging both from a technical standpoint and in the delivery of the design. In addition, numerous methods of access were required to achieve the installation. Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd played a hands-on role in delivering the works, along with providing input into supervision, design and management meetings.
