Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to provide specialist electrical services at Sugar House Island.
MU2 comprises three office buildings that create the high street frontage for Sugar House Island, a new mixed use development in East London – within the Sugar House Lane Conservation Area. Planning was granted for the project in 2020, with construction beginning in September that year.
At pedestrian level, 40,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and café units line the site’s arterial route of Chimney Walk and a new public square at the heart of the site. The public realm celebrates the site’s industrial past, connecting historic yards and carefully retained chimneys; it provides an attractive and accessible environment for future residents, workers and visitors, and generous outdoor spaces for the restaurant and cafe units. The upper levels of the development provide 290,000 square feet of office floor space which will help to generate up to 2,750 new jobs.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a bespoke lightning protection system at the new development. This will provide protection for the buildings and all users in the event of an electrical storm. PTSG is the compliance and safety specialist, providing a full range of products and services to protect people, property and places for clients in all sectors.
