On Sunday 17 August, Paul Campbell, Group NVQ Assessor at Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) completed the Scottish Half-Marathon on behalf of two highly deserving charities.

The event is staged each year in Edinburgh, taking runners along the magnificent East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse; Scotland’s oldest racecourse. The course is flat, which means many runners are able to achieve a PB (personal best).

Paul ran on behalf of the Thistle Foundation, which provides mental health support, and Lymphoma Society. Mark Perfect, Managing Director of Pendrich – part of PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd – gave a generous donation for these charities.

Many people from PTSG’s workforce, which is around 3,000-strong, take part in a number of events all year round, raising money for a wide variety of deserving causes. In June this year, a team including clients, suppliers and one of PTSG’s business development directors completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Over £2,750 was raised for Macmillan Cancer. The previous month, another of PTSG’s Business Development Directors completed a 26-mile trek through the Peak District to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. In April, two members of PTSG Electrical Services Ltd took part in a charity abseil event to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
