Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has returned to Balfron Tower to complete specialist access work prior to hand-over by the main contractor.
Balfron Tower is a 26-storey residential building in Poplar, Tower Hamlets, East London. Built in a Brutalist style, it forms part of the Brownfield Estate, an area of social housing between Chrisp Street Market and the A12 northern approach to the Blackwall Tunnel.
Plans are now underway to comprehensively and sensitively restore Balfron Tower. Undoubtedly innovative upon inception, the original design unity will be reflected in the work of the designers overseeing the project today; serving as the guardians to one of London’s most iconic post-war buildings.
PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd was previously on site in March 2022 to install specialist access netting to avoid any debris falling from the balconies while the refurbishment is underway.
PTSG’ engineers returned to Balfron Tower in August to complete a variety of specialist access works prior to hand over and completion of the restoration project.
