PTSG company makes great strides in sustainability

For a number of years Trinity, part of PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd, has been proactive in implementing sustainability initiatives that have a real and lasting impact on the communities in which its engineers work.

• To end Net Zero week (6-12 July 2024), Trinity was delighted to announce that its Heathrow office has achieved Net Zero Carbon for the second year running. Its MoD Aldershot has also achieved Net Zero certification.

• Trinity’s Net Zero carbon strategy’s next focus offices are located in the Midlands and South West, as the company systematically works through all of its locations.

• The Trinity Cycle to Work scheme offers incentives to employees who are able to cycle to work. Everyone who can cycle to work is playing a vital part in reducing CO2 emissions, congestion and improving public health and wellbeing.

• This year, Trinity has invested in a cardboard shredder at its warehouse. This has seen the removal of all plastic packaging from its logistics operations.

• Cardboard shredders provide an efficient means of recycling cardboard but also offer businesses an opportunity to create their own, free eco-friendly packaging materials. As we move towards a more sustainable future, these machines are playing a pivotal role in reducing waste and minimising our environmental footprint.

• Trinity is now using bamboo products such as hand towels and toilet paper at its regional offices. Bamboo products are highly eco-friendly, renewable and a biodegradable material, meaning there is minimal environmental impact.

• In June, 19 trees were planted on Trinity’s behalf as part of its uniform suppliers initiative to reduce CO2 emissions. By absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, trees help to combat climate change.
