Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) have won a contract to deliver specialist electrical services at Central Foundation Boys’ School in London.
Central Foundation Boys’ School is a voluntary-aided comprehensive secondary school in the London Borough of Islington. It was founded at a meeting 1865 and opened the following year in Bath Street, before moving to its current location on Cowper Street in 1869. Originally named The Middle Class School of London, it was renamed in 1890 after the establishment of its trust body, the Central Foundation Schools Trust.
Beginning several years ago, the school began a massive project to renovate the Main Block (A), the Maths Block & Entrance (B), the Court Building (CB), Tabernacle, Printing Press Building and the Sixth Form Centre (also referred to as Silicon Hub). Phase 2 is for the construction of a new underground sports hall with the associated roof area providing new amenity space for the school.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a brand-new lightning protection system to protect Central Foundation Boys’ School and all staff and pupils from future lightning strikes.
PTSG is relied upon to design, install, test, inspect and maintain lightning and surge protection systems at buildings and structures of all kinds throughout the UK in sectors as diverse as healthcare, education, retail, aviation and defence, public sector and government and industry.
