PTSG exists to keep its customers’ buildings and their users safe, clean and compliant from top to bottom. It does this through the provision of specialist services, working from five independent divisions, delivering: façade access and fall arrest equipment, lightning testing and electrical compliance, building access cleaning and maintenance, fire and security solutions and water hygiene and treatment.
PTSG Access & Safety Ltd is the Group’s original business division, employing some of the most experienced and respected professionals in the industry. The purpose of their work is to create and maintain a safe environment for operatives working at height.
PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd is a separate business division of PTSG; its operatives diver a range of cleaning, maintenance, installations and decoration to buildings in all sectors. Much of the work is carried out at height and therefore there is some cross-over with the work of PTSG Access & Safety Ltd. Indeed its operatives are trained and qualified in the use of the industry’s leading access techniques, including rope access, and are members of IRATA – the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association. However, PTSG Access & Safety Ltd specialise in building access, fall arrest systems and fall protection systems and equipment.
PTSG’s Access & Safety engineers uphold the practices and principles of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and our work complies with the industry’s regulatory bodies. Their work is vital in ensuring all suspended access equipment, fall arrest and fall protection equipment remains in first-class operational condition – and able to save lives.
Inspection and testing
Systems are subject to year-round weathering; that is why testing and inspection is carried out at suitable intervals. Any imperfections that have developed can then be dealt with before certifying equipment as safe.
Our engineers are trained to inspect systems to the exacting standards that they must comply with and check that they are installed and maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Regular inspection and testing allows us to create a database of our customers’ equipment, showing a record of installation, inspection, maintenance and certification.
Routine servicing is often more cost effective than replacing a product. It also means that equipment and systems will remain 100% safe and reliable. That is our aim at PTSG Access & Safety Ltd – to create absolute safety at height, eliminating falls from height.
