Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is pleased to share the announcement from the No Falls Foundation that the first ever No Falls Week took place from 13-17 May 2024.
This powerful new height safety campaign was a chance for individuals and businesses across all sectors to come together to raise awareness of the importance of safe working at height, prevent falls and ensure everyone that works at height comes down safely. The second No Falls Week has been confirmed for 12-16 May 2025.
The No Falls Foundation is the first and only UK-based charity devoted exclusively to the work at height sector. The Foundation is dedicated to preventing falls from height and helping people affected by the life-changing consequences of a fall.
Falls from heights are consistently the leading cause of workplace fatalities in the U.K. The latest figures from the HSE show that 40 people lost their lives due to a fall from height in 2022-2023. Falls from height were responsible for 30% of all workplace deaths.
As many of PTSG’s services are delivered at height, its engineers and technicians are well-versed and highly trained in all the recognised access techniques. Rope access is arguably the safest method for accessing high areas of buildings in order to carry out maintenance work. It is also versatile, enabling technicians to move vertically and laterally quickly and easily, and therefore cost effective. PTSG’s teams are also highly trained in the use of permanent and temporary suspended access equipment – as well as installing, testing and inspecting and maintaining a wide range of fall arrest and fall protection systems and equipment.
