The new special school in Cambridgeshire has contractedPremier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) to deliver specialist fire solutions.
The new £30m Prestley Wood Academy is a Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) School that will be located at the heart of the Alconbury Weald development in Huntingdon.
Prestley Wood Academy will cater for 150 pupils aged between 3-19 years. The school will form part of the Alconbury Weald Education Campus that will see the addition of a new Secondary School in future phases.
Through extensive engagement with Cambridgeshire County Council and Horizons Education Trust, we have determined the design of the school to provide a facility that responds to the Council’s Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) policy.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will install a sprinkler system throughout the school in Cambridgeshire to provide safety in the event of a fire. PTSG is one of the leading providers of sprinkler systems, with services including design, installation, testing and inspection and the maintenance of sprinklers. Its Fire Solutions division also delivers a range of other solutions including (but not limited to) dry and wet riser installation and maintenance, security systems and passive fire solutions.
