Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG)’s specialist cradles installation business has completed a complex access solution scheme at an iconic development in London’s Bankside.
One Blackfriars is a 52-storey mixed use development at No.1 Blackfriars Road. Known informally at The Vase, it houses 247 luxury apartments and was inspired by a piece of 1950’s art; a Scandinavian glass vessel from the architect’s private collection.
Integral Cradles, part of PTSG Access and Safety, has been working at the site to deliver multiple access solutions, including installing of three Building Maintenance Units. The BMU’s have been fitted to integrate with the building’s moving doors, which were also designed and supplied by Integral Cradles Ltd, to carry the intricate cladding panels and mask the garage area. This allows the BMU’s to park away without any visual sign of the systems. Integral Cradles has worked at the site since 2015 and has worked in collaboration with the client and other stakeholders to deliver the project.
Part of PTSG Access and Safety, Integral Cradles provides permanent Façade Access Equipment for new build, refurbishment and ongoing maintenance projects. The company continues to deliver bespoke access solutions across the capital, and has previously worked on some of London’s most iconic buildings such as the The Gherkin, ‘The Cheesegrater’ Leadenhall Tower, One Hyde Park, Heathrow T2A and The HSBC Tower.
