Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been selected to deliver specialist electrical services for United Utilities.
United Utilities Group plc (UU) is the United Kingdom’s largest listed water company. It was founded in 1995 as a result of the merger of North West Water and NORWEB. The group manages the regulated water and wastewater network in North West England, which includes Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, most of Cheshire and a small area of Derbyshire, which have a combined population of more than seven million.
Chlorine is used to treat drinking water and to keep it safe to drink; it isn’t harmful, but some people are more sensitive to the taste and smell than others. The company also manages 78,000 kilometres of wastewater pipes which take sewage from 7.3 million people for treatment at nearly 600 wastewater treatment works. It also operates 37 renewable energy facilities.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will carry out a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the chlorine/So2 sites and a wastewater site for United Utilities.
PTSG Electrical Services Ltd. is one of the Group’s five independent business divisions. It combines the talent and experience of some of the UK’s leading practitioners in their field.
