Welcome to Inside PTSG.
Now that we are well into autumn, we have experienced a number of storms, some of which have brought travel disruption and caused damage to buildings. While it’s a seasonal hazard, there are steps that building owners and managers can take to ensure their buildings remain fully intact and operational.
Our Building Access Specialists deliver roof and gutter maintenance. Planning planned preventative maintenance into your calendar can save the need for emergency repairs when the storms hit – and therefore a considerable amount of money. This month’s Insight has more details on our services.
Mental health continues to rise higher on the agenda for many organisations, and this is reflected in many of the industry publications. At PTSG, we have taken a proactive approach to our people’s mental health for a number of years. We have recently launched a Health and Wellbeing Hub as part of our company intranet. It holds a wealth of resources on all kinds of issues that affect people, both mental and physical.
With over 40 Mental Health First Aiders in the Group, every one of our c3,000 people can contact a qualified expert in confidence for help with whatever issue they are currently experiencing.
Extraordinary Buildings details the recent work of our Access & Safety specialists at a number of the galleries in the Tate group – in particular, Tate Britain. We also feature a glimpse of the news from around PTSG
I wish you all the best and look forward to keeping you informed of further updates from throughout the Group.
Best wishes
Paul Teasdale
