Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist fire solutions at the first phase of a new development in Longbridge, Birmingham.
Situated on Dalmuir Road, on the south-west side of Birmingham, the development will comprise 205 apartments across three blocks, within the historic MG Rover site. There will be 100 one-bedroom apartments and 105 two-bedroom units. Each of the three apartment blocks will have communal rooftop terraces and over 200 bicycles and provide 105 car parking spaces, all with electric vehicle charging points.
The development is being built on a former brownfield site, which is set to become a vibrant new community with first-class facilities, energy-efficient homes and excellent connectivity to the city and the wider region.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will deliver residential sprinklers in the apartments. Sprinkler systems are the most effective means of life and property protection available. Within domestic properties, the British standards are BS 9251:2014 for residential sprinklers and BS 8458:2015 for residential and domestic mist sprinkler systems.
