Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK and Europe.
St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust runs Tooting Hospital, which was founded in 1733. The hospital has around 1,300 beds. It handles most general tertiary care such as accident and emergency, maternity services and care for older people and children. However, as a major acute hospital, St George’s Hospital also offers specialist care for the more complex injuries and illnesses. These include trauma, neurology, cardiac care, renal transplantation, cancer care and stroke. It is also home to one of four major trauma centres and one of eight hyper-acute stroke units for London.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will deliver a new lightning protection system to the hospital. This is to protect the hospital and all staff and patients in the event of an electrical storm.
