A residential development has contracted Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) to deliver specialist electrical services at a construction site in Blackheath’s Kidbrooke area, South-East London.
This residential development is part of the masterplan to regenerate the Kidbrooke area. Phase 2 consists of the construction of two blocks of apartments and 40+ townhouses. All these are designed to achieve a code for sustainable homes level 3.
The scheme has incorporated renewable technologies including biomass boiler plant and solar hot water generation to achieve this requirement.
The scheme includes a ‘wet’ swale (lake) designed and integrated to provide both a habitat for wildlife. It is also to retain surface water across this and future phases on the site.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a new lightning protection system to protect the residential structures and all residents in the event of an electrical storm.
